Our students are active learners with a wide range of academic abilities. Each one of them have their unique way of learning. They are constantly striving for more and want to enhance their learning each day they come into our educational environment.
The students are engaged daily through peer interaction, small groups, station rotations, and various forms of technology.
They are from a rural community and small school environment. Many of them have never been outside our small community or the small towns surrounding it.
Each student enhances our classroom atmosphere in their own way, making it a fun and productive educational experience for everyone that steps into the classroom.
My Project
A lot is expected of elementary children in our world today. They have to learn a lot at an early age. Most of that is happening within the classrooms of our school buildings. Young students are active and need to have the ability to move in a classroom. They are expected to sit at a desk or table for a majority of the school day.
If students are able to have some movement, they will be more productive and engaged in their learning adventures.
This project will help fund flexible seating options for our classroom that will encourage movement while working. The items chosen are to safely provide an individual seat that will move slightly at their desire while sitting on it.
