My Project
Please help me give my students the gross motor materials they need to help promote physical development as movement is crucial for preschooler's brain development as it helps to activate brain regions, improve focus and attention, enhance cognitive skills like planning & problem-solving, and support the development of motor skills. For example, the gymnastics training bar will help children stretch their bodies, which increases flexibility and promotes bone growth. In turn, this will also help strengthen their fine motor skills when using a writing tool such as a pencil or crayon. A rowing machine can be beneficial for kids as it provides a low-impact, full-body workout, improving cardiovascular health, muscle strength, posture, coordination, and can even boost mental well-being by reducing stress while engaging multiple muscle groups with a smooth, rhythmic motion. Jumping in a bounce house requires coordination of movements, balance, and timing. Children learn to control their bodies while bouncing, which improves their motor skills. These activities also help children develop better hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and reflexes. The materials I have chosen will help keep students engaged while enhancing their fine and gross motor schools while they socialize and have fun with their friends.
