Creating a Comfortable Learning Environment

In a classroom with a variety of comfortable seating options, students will thrive.

Beyond their usual desk seats, providing different seating choices allows kids to feel at ease and collaborate effectively. Many students struggle to stay seated and focused without some movement or fidgeting. These flexible seating arrangements not only encourage physical activity but also stimulate our minds as we dive into Science and Indiana History lessons. Distributing these seating alternatives across our learning space promotes a more fluid and creative atmosphere, especially during writing sessions. Since numerous students seek comfort at school, because of their less than comfort-filled homes, I aim to cultivate a space that elicits smiles and relaxation through the use of comfortable seating. Having a goal to keep my kids in a safe environment where they can move freely is the best way that I can teach my students!
