Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are hoping for recess equipment such as frisbee, a football, soccer ball, kickball, and jump ropes. These small things will add to our classroom and would improve the learning environment by creating a way to let the students get energy out when at recess.

The students I work with have very little recess equipment.

We go to recess on a "blacktop," this is where the buses pick up and drop off; the students normally just stand around. By receiving these donations, the students would be able to just be kids for a few minutes a day.

This physical activity would not only help them outside but would help them in the classroom as well, when days are rainy and they must stay in. We would have board games and activities to play with as well!
