Work and Wobble!
We are a very active bunch! I want to give my students the opportunity to make choices for where they want to complete an assignment. Where do they learn the best? Where are they able to focus? Wobble chairs would be super for my wiggly ones!
I have a very kind group of children.
They share very well and know the meaning of kindness and hard work. In our room, we tackle any problem or situation as problem solvers. If they make a mistake, they know to problem solve and make their work even better. By including 8 wobble chairs, they are able to wiggle yet keep their focus.
Our school is very dated with very little updated furniture so funding is very small. Any additional support would put the students over the top with excitement!
My Project
We definitely like to MOVE IT... and we do!
Throughout the day, I give my 2nd graders every opportunity to find a place in the classroom to complete their work. Some may go to a corner while some lay on the carpet or on a beanbag. The addition of 8 wobble chairs would give them more options to wiggle and work!
With these blue wobble chairs, small group reading would now be the "Place to Be" in our room! If the TEACHER gets to have a chair with movement, why not the KIDS?!
The inclusion of these chairs and a new writing center would just take the cake!
It would surely be a celebration! All of my kids would definitely want the chance to sit and work in these chairs. It would be a new spark of enjoyment into their day and I would be very, very grateful for the new smiles they would bring.
