My students come into my classroom each day with champion attitudes and an eagerness to learn. As a teacher at a low-income Title I school, my students are faced with various challenges that impact their education. They come from diverse backgrounds and speak a variety of languages. Everyday in our classroom I make it my goal to help my students to feel proud of who they are and what they can do.
My students are curious, creative, and energetic.
They love to move, explore, and use hands-on tools when learning. Many of our children are raised in single family households and receive free breakfast and lunch daily. These factors play a large role in determining their future. I want my students to flourish in school and develop a strong love for learning. With the proper supplies, tools, and materials, it is my hope that my students will build a lasting love of learning that will follow them and inspire them to be the best they can be.
My Project
Our classroom is full of active and curious 1st graders! They are hardworking, energetic, and love to move. I am looking to bring more learning opportunities in the classroom that embrace their wiggles and help them learn through movement. Through the use of brain breaks and materials that promote active learning, you will give my students many chances to soar!

GoNoodle Plus will provide us with so many opportunities to grow! GoNoodle Plus promotes learning through games, dancing, and mindfulness activities. Students can exercise and strengthen their gross motor skills while also practicing weekly spelling words and reading! The Mini Bowling Set and Swing and Catch Cup Set will be used to practice coordination and help improve fundamental gross and fine motor skills. We are so excited to get moving in the classroom!
