My Project
With a classroom full of eager second graders, I have tried to implement as much choice as possible this year. One thing my class has loved is flexible seating! This year I've begun using wobble stools, rockers, and bounce balls as options for students to use. I have several who prefer stationary seating, but do not want to stay at their desk. These would provide soft, stationary seating choices for those students. In our classroom, I have a class economy where students are hired and earn class cash. One of the most popular passes for purchase is to "upgrade your chair." Students are driven to help, learn and earn these rewards throughout the year.
In addition to seating, I try to implement as much hands-on learning as possible.
I use centers daily and would love this magnetic white board to implement word work. Students can build words, practice writing sentences and help one another through this resource. I am very hopeful for this project and looking forward to seeing it's potential in my classroom
