My Project

I teach a fun, energetic group of kindergartners with a love of learning.

My students come from diverse backgrounds and bring a variety of experiences into the classroom. They enjoy learning and are always ready and eager to explore and learn something new. Students take an active role in their learning by exploring and using their critical thinking skills daily. My goal is for all of my students to not only meet but exceed the Indiana Academic Standards by creating a student-centered classroom.

Money is a part of our every day world. It is imperative for everyone to know about money and it all starts when students are young.

The younger students start learning about financial literacy, the better their future selves will be about money. Students will work for PAWS bucks by showing our schoolwide habits of character. The PAWS bucks help students learn money value and identification. They will earn money by doing various tasks in the classroom, school, and by following classroom schoolwide rules and procedures.

Students will then be able to purchase various "prizes" such as key chains, jewelry, pencils, blind bags, and sun glasses. They will learn about hard work, doing the right thing, and the value of money and financial literacy.
