I teach First Grade students at a Title I school in Florida, where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. However, sometimes their emotions can get the best of them and they need a few minutes to calm down.
Help me bring my students the necessary manipulatives to better understand place value!
The students have been though so much learning all the necessary Kindergarten skills. In August they will begin First Grade and have to dive right in to Place Value! Please help me give them the tools that will enlighten them and allow them to "see" place value at their level. Along with number lines so that they know how to count forward and backwards on a number line.
