My students need 24 personal dry-erase boards and dry erase markers and paper for teacher demonstrations.

We just want to be good writers! I currently teach 8th grade reading and language arts at an inner-city school in Florida.
My students are having some difficulty writing effectively. I can only have writing clinic every so often in class because we still have other areas to cover. My students are responsible for taking the Florida State Writing test as 8th graders this year. My students aren't the best writers around but definitely have the drive. They need help with organizing sentences and paragraphs and need to be able to learn in a very interactive way. It is not enough for me to stand at the board and dictate good writing. The students have to apply what they are learning as they are being taught. Currently, I am at the board talking at them without being able to see how they are thinking or feeling about the writing assignments.
With the aid of the personal dry erase boards, students can write a sentence or two and get clearance and advice from a peer or the teacher before putting it on paper. They would also need dry erase markers. When we have small group instruction and are away from the classroom board, a teacher board would be beneficial in illustrating good sentences and essay organization.
Your assistance in this endeavor would ensure that all of my students are writing to the best of their ability and able to get assistance in all areas of language arts.
