This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My children have speech delays and impediments. I intend to use the magnetics to develop their language skills. Through the use of manipulatives they are able to express themselves better. This magnetic board I ordered will enable them to see different scenarios and identify characters and places. My children learn much better through play therapy. They are beginning to get better at art and they're more responsible with the supplies, so I ordered a supply organizer to promote their independence. It's amazing how they've grown from September to now. I ordered some sensory paint for the ones that have issues with different textures. It will help them not only to create art but to be able to touch the textures that the paint creates. As we come to the end of the year I want them to take the skills that they have learned and hone them so that they feel a sense of accomplishment and next year they'll be more independent. For the most part they're beginning to speak more clearly and use words in their proper context and as we end this year I just want them to enjoy learning. They've been under such pressure this year to catch up with the loss of last year. I think they deserve a break and I thank you in advance for giving it to them
