My Students
My students are amazing! They are so unique and kind-hearted. They are eager to learn and excited about each new day! All of my students come from various backgrounds which gives us a diverse classroom. Many of them come from low-income homes where both parents work. Every day they come in excited to be with their friends and learn new things, especially in reading and math. This year is going to be exciting, I can't wait to see what they are capable of this year as they continue to grow!
My Project
Our students attend all day Kindergarten, from 8 to 3, Monday through Thursday and 8 to 1 on Fridays. These days are fun and full of life, but by the afternoon, these precious 5 year olds need a snack! Something to rejuvenate them before they finish their afternoon work and head home. Many times, I know that our students will not eat again from lunch until dinner if I do not supply the snack. It is not a 5 year olds fault that they don't have money or access to food at certain points in the day. My kinder students will benefit so much from this project!
