Help me give my students the Kore Wobble Stools and other flexible seating options to make classroom seating a fun experience while it increases their focus and strengthens their core stability muscles.
My kindergartners attend school in a small rural district. Most of the students in the district qualify for free and reduced lunches. A lot of these students come to school without the basic supplies needed. This is an amazing district that cares tremendously about the students that attend school here.
These students are very motivated to learn and achieve new things, but they do not always have resources available to them.
They are great kids and they deserve to have the very best, just like any other students.
Any donations made to this project will make a significant difference in the lives of not just the children that are in my classroom this school year, but also all the students that will come into my classroom in the future. These projects are so special because it gives my students a connection to the outside world. It helps me get across to them that the world is bigger that they know. I make sure to let them know that there are people out there other than me, their parents and family that care a great deal about their education and their future.
My Project
School is getting harder and harder for Kids because it requires them to focus for long periods of time and their attention spans are getting shorter and shorter. Teachers are constantly having to give the students brain breaks or makes the lessons like a magic show just to keep their attention.
I want to increase their focus on the lesson and give their core stability muscles a workout all while sitting!
Studies have shown with the use of flexible seating, students have started focusing more in class which means they are learning more, they are getting a little workout; burning some energy and increasing their core muscle strength. With the use of the Kore Wobble Chairs, the chair balls with legs, the wobble cushions, and the floor pillows, I believe I can help my students focus and increase their learning, strengthen some important muscles, and make sitting in class enjoyable.
