My Students

Have you ever wanted to be an MTV video star? Or, have you ever dreamed of having your video appear on one of those wacky video shows? Of course you have! So do my computer students. With the Flip video cameras, I can teach them how to make those videos.

Kids love seeing themselves on video!

From amateur movie makers, to budding animators to future cinematographers, these kids like to make videos! The students will work in groups to plan, write, act, direct and record their very own movies or music videos!

My Project

The Flip cameras make it so easy! Just turn them on, point and press the button. Instantly, you are recording video. We can film, edit, burn and playback all our videos right in our school computer lab. We can turn every kid into an instant movie maker.

Teaching students how to film and edit videos is a cross curricular project.

They work on writing, reading, planning, group dynamics, cooperation, computer editing...the list goes on. What a way to spend a school day!
