My Project
...and we need some supplies to fill it! We are a Title I rural K-6 elementary school, and because of a school expansion, get to have a classroom for art for the first time! The school has been using art-on-a-cart (visiting general classrooms) for decades, and there are no supplies for painting! A classroom allows me to offer more immersive, messy, art projects, and painting is first on the list!

Students look forward to exploring painting at school. It is fun, therapeutic, and often not encouraged or available to do at home. (Who else wants the mess besides an art teacher?!) Aprons and a drying rack are a must to help the students feel calm and confident about painting. There is nothing that crushes creativity like the worry that a parent will be upset about messy clothing. The small cart will help me quickly carry supplies to tables. The brushes, mixing trays, and acrylic paints will give us the supplies to mix and use color. The school graciously provides paper.
