My students come with a variety of different backgrounds and different interests. My goal is to provide as many engaging opportunities and activities for my students.
I teach at an elementary school whose community is nestled in the beautiful east valley of Helena Montana.
At Warren, our 4th-grade team has students who have a variety of academic needs. With IXL, we fill in those gaps, get students to benchmark, and challenge those who need more advancement in their academics.
My Project
Differentiated instruction is very important to provide individual instruction. IXL will help engage students and provide the help each individual student needs.
At the end of the school year our 4th graders averaged at over a 6th-grade level and IXL is a key ingredient to make sure learning never stops.
You will be helping all 4th-grade students at our school!
The individualized pace and adaptiveness of the program means that students are working at their current skill level, even if that level is below or above the student’s actual grade level. This could be particularly good for students who are below grade level or who are advanced and need a challenge or extension.
IXL is an environment where guessing is not an option, and success is earned through hard work and genuine understanding of each concept. To facilitate this deeper level of learning, every skill on IXL has been designed to engage students' minds. They approach topics from multiple angles, offer visual representations, provide a host of interactive activities, and more. By the time students have mastered a skill, their understanding of that topic is solid. And that's the greatest motivator for all students: knowing that when their study time is finished, they really “get it.” Best of all, thanks to IXL's tracking tools, I will never miss a second of my students' exciting learning journey. IXL can give me information that matters—exactly which questions my students missed, where students' trouble spots lie, how they are progressing over time, and how much knowledge they have genuinely understood and retained.
IXL is a comprehensive and engaging way to individualize math instruction using the computer. With IXL, I can provide students with immediate feedback to help provide them with the best education possible in Math and Language Arts.
