This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach technology at New Orleans Benjamin Elementary School. My students come from a low socioeconomic background and a majority them are on the FREE LUNCH program.
I am requesting for the WE do LEGO program for my SWAT club.
Students Willing to Assist with Technology (SWAT) is technology a club that helps students learn about technology and assist their teachers, peers and their communities. By integrating technology early, we are fostering a lifelong love of technology and all the opportunities it brings.
My Project
We are requesting a LEGO¨ Education WeDo 2.0 Core Set for our team to participate in the First Lego competition this year.
The We do set of LEGO will be a good resource for teaching my students to be competing in the First Jr.
LEGO competition this year.
We are so excited to try our hands on learning about LEGO competition that we wanted to participate and compete. Please help my students as we cannot get the kit because most of our parents are from the low socioeconomic background and a high majority of my students come from low income families. Exposing them to technology and LEGO robotics will make them feel excited about school and learning.
