My Students

My students love being challenged in my Physics classes. I love being challenged as well. This coming year I will be teaching AP Physics 2 for the first time. I hope to give my students all of the tools they will need to be successful in mastering the content of the course.

Remember discovering science magic when you were young?

We utilize our Physics lab every week of the school year. That's where the magic happens and the secrets of the universe are revealed to our bright young minds. My students come from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. There are really low income students without the means to have their own technology devices all the way up to highly affluent students. The common denominator is that I am trying to evoke a sense of awe and reverence for science discovery in my class and labs.

My Project

This year (2016-2017) is going to be the first year for AP Physics 2 at our school. It's a new and different curriculum from AP Physics B. My students are looking forward to excelling on the exam in May. One of the best ways for them to do this is by having a well-respected resource that they can practice with on their own time. The requested review books will allow them to reinforce our work and activities from class and get them ready for the rigorous AP Physics 2 Exam.

By helping my students review for the exam, these books will be instrumental with giving my students a more rounded practice experience to draw from.

With discipline and practice, the work in these books will translate to higher scores and more students with better chances of getting into their first college choice.
