We DEAFinitely Need to Get Cozy with Reading!

My Project

I teach a small, but mighty, group of deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) preschool students in a bilingual setting using American Sign Language (ASL) and English. I utilize center time on a daily basis to provide my students opportunities to explore and apply their learning in my classroom. Our current reading center does not have any comfortable seating for my students to sit on and enjoy reading books.

My students need to be able to sit comfortably and enjoy reading books to support their early literacy and language skills.

My students are not utilizing the reading center as much as they should. Please help me make my reading center more inviting by adding a kid-sized couch set. This would greatly encourage my students to get cozy with books and stay in the reading center longer!
