My Project

My students are our future innovators, mathematicians, scientists and engineers. They are a diverse group of students coming from many backgrounds. They are eager to learn and absorb large amounts of instruction at a very fast pace. They work from the time they enter the classroom until the bell rings. Often, they are coming during other classes because they love seeing the connection between their learning to real-world application. My students need collaboration tables and comfortable chairs, in order to help them work efficiently and effectively. Most of my chairs are broken and are not safe for my students. They have fallen out of their chairs multiple times. Classrooms have become active learning environments. This requires portable (in weight and design) armless, task chairs that students of all ages can quickly/easily move and arrange. Research supports the idea that the use of more ergonomically friendly seating in classrooms can have a positive impact on students physically, emotionally, and academically. They need a space to collaborate with their peers to solve real world problems.
