We Can't Stand Our Guitars Falling Down!

Help me give my students guitar stands to protect our instruments while also keeping them easily accessible.

My Project

In our music classroom, we are always making music! During the year, every student in the school comes to music class for a 45-day rotation. We learn instruments like guitar, keyboard, drum set, and ukulele. The students especially love it when we start playing as a modern band, meaning students in the class divide up and play drums, keyboards, voice, and ukuleles to create a cover band. We end each rotation with a presentation for our families, where students perform the music we've been working on throughout our rotation.

Playing as a modern band cover band means that students are moving all around the classroom, and our guitars need to be accessible!

We need new guitar stands to replace broken ones, and to keep our guitars safe and accessible as we move through the classroom to jam! The guitar stands will be used daily for the rest of the year, and will especially help our modern band and informance practices to be successful.

It has been one of the most fun years of my career to finally be able to play in small group modern bands! I have truly enjoyed watching the students sing and play instruments and present those songs to their families. I know that these guitar stands will help keep our instruments safe so that we can keep making music.
