Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom consists of 50 amazing Spanish immersion students, each with their own unique personalities and abilities. They strive to be great within the classroom and leaders outside of the class. We look at our classroom as a home, meaning we are a classroom family. The students build a relationship with each other in order to have a community that works together. We celebrate the success of the students on a daily basis to show that they are doing great things!

With teaching Spanish immersion, it is great to see that they are working together to learn a new language and help their fellow friends learn English along the way.

There is no judgement, just love and support. Overall, my students are all around great kids.

My Project

The items that I have included and asked for from DonorsChoose are recess items. Being at a title one school, we do not always have the means to give our students what they need. With recess equipment, it helps our students to be more active outdoors and minimize the behaviors that come with not having anything to do. Along with recess equipment, I have included snacks as one of other main focuses of importance. There are times when my students come to school hungry. With food items, I can easily provide my students with food in order to help them with concentration and to be ready for the day.
