Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in a low-income, high-mobility school that is Title I. This means all of our children receive free breakfast and lunch during the school day. We have a diverse population and serve children and families from many different cultures.
The students at our school are sweet and crave positive interactions and for someone to show a genuine interest in them.
They are eager to learn new things and love to share what they have learned with others. These students need positive role models in their lives to introduce them to the wonders of the world around them.
My Project
The counter where we serve breakfast and the interactive board we've been using in our classroom is too high for my little learners to reach.
A step stool will help my students reach the interactive board and allow them to be safe while enjoying their learning games and activities and choosing their breakfast.
The interactive board is part of our everyday routine; we use it multiple times during the day. The students watch learning videos, play learning games, and I often prepare lessons using slides and present them on the interactive board.
