My Students

The students in my classroom come from a variety of backgrounds, but one thing unites them- they have all been identified as gifted learners. Gifted learners experience education in a multitude of ways. My district allows me to teach these students and offer them opportunities to explore areas that interest them the most. By allowing these unique students the time to develop their gifts, they have a higher overall satisfaction with school. These students also learn how to time manage and plan for big outcomes (projects, presentations, etc).

My Project

My students are fortunate enough to have access to great technology within my classroom. Because of this, I design many of their lessons to call for accessing interactive features that include audio. When students are working in centers, this can make for a very noisy classroom where it is difficult for those students viewing videos or listening to books as well as other students in different groups to focus.

These headphones will allow my students the ability to interact with audio resources independently without disrupting the productivity of others.

Whether students are viewing a video to gain background knowledge or enhance their understanding of what we are learning, or if they are listening to audio versions of our latest in-class reading, students need the ability to hear what they are interacting with without causing a disturbance.
