This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
It is hard enough for high school students to sit still for 90 minutes of class, but when the chairs are too small or too uncomfortable for many of them, those 90 minutes can feel like forever. That is what has been happening to the students in my social studies classes for way too long.
The goal of these larger and more welcoming chairs is for the students to be comfortable enough in their seats that they can focus their attention on their learning of history instead of on the discomfort caused by small and awkward chairs.
