This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am lucky enough to teach a group of energetic, diverse, curious fourth graders in a Title I setting. School is the place they come for many of the resources vital to their daily lives. 95% of our students receive free lunch. Despite many challenges, our students are eager learners; excited to create, investigate, and explore the world around them.

These are unprecedented times for our learners.

As we begin the year in distance learning, it will be more important than ever to engage students in meaningful ways to keep them active and interested in school.

My Project

As our students embark on their distance learning journey this year, they will need to have basic schools supplies available to them at home.

Basic supplies are essential for school success!

Without having the proper school supplies available at home, students will struggle to keep up with online learning. This project includes whiteboard tools so my students can stay engaged by participating during instruction and "showing" me their learning. Other materials such as pencils, erasers and crayons will also support my students' learning. Many of our families rely on materials being provided by school and the extra expense of distance learning materials for home is difficult.

These items will be essential in order for students to successfully complete work at home.
