My Students

We have 25 smart, energetic students in our classroom this year. We love reading and we love Math, so why not put them together.

Our classroom is a 1st grade classroom filled with lots of independence, self-motivation, and hands-on activities.

We like to have our hands on whatever it is we are learning. The more we use our hands, the more learning we encounter. We all have different personalities and share those with each other every day. WE love learning!

My Project

We are so excited about expanding our literacy library in our classroom by adding Math literature. By adding Math literature the students will not only be able to read about Math, but they can expand that by writing about Math using the literature books they read.

By having Math literature readily available in our classroom, the students will be able to see that Math isn't just in Math class, but Math can be integrated into all subject areas.

Being able to read about math will allow the students to expand vocabulary in Math instruction and then in turn put that information about math into writing.
