This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many of our students struggle with breaking the code and learning to read. Please help me reach students who have difficulty accessing text. Using these resources, I will provide opportunities for students to practice taught phonics skills using decodable books. Students feel success when they can decode and comprehend an entire book! The Tools 4 Reading kit will allow me to better understand how to teach the phonemes of reading and kids will differentiate how to make different sounds.
These Science of Reading-based materials open up the world of reading to many of our struggling learners.
They will allow reinforcement and practice throughout the school year. Many students will be able to share in using these resources and learning from them.
