My Students

I have 21 students: 10 girls and 11 boys. I have 20 students who are in the classroom all day and one additional student who is in our room half of the day. I have a very hard-working group of kids. My students work hard to be responsible, conscientious, caring, respectful, creative, and kind. We talk daily about what it takes to be a great citizen. We challenge ourselves and each other to be the best we can be. We are a classroom “family.” We work together, learn together, laugh together, eat together, cry together, and we play together. We want to make a difference!

My Project

My classroom is a place where I want my students to thrive. I want them to learn how to manage their own time and how to make some choices and decisions that will help them to be independent and self-motivated learners. My students are the center of my classroom. They need direction, love, guidance, nurturing, and support and a safe learning environment. I am seeking some high lighter tape so that I can help students identify words that they do not recognize. This tape can be used to highlight words and help the students to practice these words, and then the tape can be removed once they learn the word(s).

I am hoping to get book bins because I don’t have any in my classroom they are big enough to store my books.

I am asking for an attendance chart, so students can come in and independently “mark” their attendance. Thank you in advance in any way that you can help my students and me! It means so much!
