My Students

My students are energetic and curious about the world around them.

Do you remember the hours you spent just creating and playing?

Many skills were developed to encourage our minds to dream big! I love to watch my students create windmills, mazes, and bridges! My students have a desire to learn,create and problem solve, but many do not have the resources or opportunities available to them at home or in our community.

Over half of our students are from low-income households-but that does not stop their curious minds! I want to provide more experiences to enhance their learning which then flows over to their academics!

They deserve the opportunities that help them grow creatively, academically, socially and personally.

My Project

The GoldieBlox building kits, Snap Circuits and Magformers I have requested will significantly enhance the STEM/MakerSpace that I am continually developing to meet the creative needs of my students. This space is used almost daily and I love the excitement it brings to my room! My classroom is a hands-on learning room.

My students will be engaged in their projects, collaborating with peers, and problem-solving.

Keva Maker Bot Maze will also add to the excitement of creations in the Keva block space! The Lego Baseplates will create a new Lego wall space for our Lego creations. These materials will also allow my students to apply their problem solving and creativity to concepts we are studying.
