This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are resilient, loving, and eager to learn. Everyday they walk through the door putting their best foot forward, but circumstances often hold them back.
Coming from a low socioeconomic area of Miami's Little Haiti neighborhood does not stop them from trying their hardest to be the best they can be!
We are a Title I school, where over 98% of the students receive free or reduced lunch. Many of their families struggle with technology and lack access to the necessary technology to participate in distance learning.
These students have overcome challenges that are hard to imagine, yet they do it everyday with smiles on their faces. They deserve equitable access to technology and information during distance learning, so that they can have equitable access to success!
My Project
These devices will be given to five students in need of a computer to use for distance learning! With a laptop, students will be able to participate in virtual learning,
social-emotional group sessions, and so much more!
Additionally students will gain access to hundreds of additional resources online.
With this additional assistance, you can help bring the classroom into 5 elementary students' homes! They are eager to see their teachers and friends and start learning! Let help them get access to the tech they need for success this school year!
