This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The COVID-19 pandemic make a complete 180 turn in our lives. Since school closures, distance learning is implemented and it comes with a challenge for my students and myself. However, continuity of learning needs to take place regardless. Student engagement is one of the key components of growth. Now my living room is my classroom and the only tool I have is my very old laptop. All my teaching materials are at school! Although I have provided my students with a variety of online resources, I need an updated tool during my Zoom lessons with my preschoolers. I know that if we provide them with the right support, resources, and opportunities, they can experience success.

My Project

Distance Learning is the new norm and we are going to do the best we can as we stay home and keep the virus away. I am aware of the struggles my students and families facing every day during the COVID-19 pandemic.

That being said, the pandemic crisis will not stop me from helping my students learn the skills they need to be successful in life.

One time I had a zoom meeting with my preschoolers, I was asking them to play a color scavenger hunt. I asked my kiddos to look for items that matched with the color words I hold. They were so excited and everyone participated. They were so loud that I couldn't hear everyone. Even when I mute them, it gets difficult hearing responses. I need these AirPods so I can hear and answer questions they have. The AirPods noise cancellation takes out exterior noise so I can hear my students with no distractions. Moreover, after the pandemic is over and we return it back to school, I can continue to use the AirPods as one of the teaching tool in class during our computer time. Indeed, technology can become very expensive so I will need this AirPods case to protect it, so that it can serve the students for years to come.
