My Students

"Where there is Love, there is Life", Mahatma Gandi said, and my students would appreciate your donations as well as flourish by using these chosen math materials.

My students are third graders who attend a rural North Carolina school.

We are only equipped with one set of Math manipulatives for our class so as you can see what dire need we have. Math is a subject where learners usually begin with a concrete understanding and that's why these manipulatives are so important.

My Project

I am requesting 20 personal sized dry erase boards so that each student can "work" math problems on his/her own. They really think it's cool when they can use the markers and the boards themselves. It makes their learning fun. Too, they can hold them up for me to quickly assess their understanding. I have also included a set of Math games that look so much fun-we'd all love a chance to play them! My students need math manipulatives, games, and dry-erase boards in order to participate actively and show their understanding.

Math can be a tough subject for many students.

The items I've requested are so important because they allow students to learn without a "kill and drill tactic". Please make a donation so that you give these kids a chance at really grasping math concepts and have fun while doing it! Thanks to you in advance for any amount that you contribute!
