This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students are encouraged to develop their ideas in a way that works best for them and their learning. This approach is helpful for English as a second language students. It allows them to build their confidence and fluency in English by exploring their ideas and expressing them in a way that feels natural to them before working on generating a publishable piece of writing. Of course, having notebooks, lined boards, pencils, and other writing tools and materials on hand can help to facilitate this process and support your students in developing their writing skills over time.
