We are Wired for Wire Sculpture!

Help me give my students the opportunity to explore three dimensional wire sculpture. By making forms with 14 guage wire and details with 20 guage wire my students can learn more about design, shape, form and balance.

My Project

Art is for everyone, wether you are an experienced artist or just begining your artistic journey! As an art teacher, I want to introduce my students to as many art mediums as I can. This project will introduce my students to the art of wire sculptures.

Wire sculpture is a great way to introduce students to art because it can help them develop a variety of skills, including: creativity, problem solving, spatial awareness, fine motor skills, planning/organizing, personal expression and advanced thinking.

Wire is a good material for sculpture because it's malleable, forgiving, and holds its shape and structure. It's also available in a variety of forms that work for different ages and ability levels.
