Help me give my students the use of the Oculus Go Standalone VR Headset!
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Gould's classroom raised $986
This project is fully funded
My Students
My students are in a self-contained Autism Spectrum Disorders class. They work very hard each day to achieve their goals. They are very interested in technology and I use it frequently as a learning tool. They are very interested in science and I am allowing them to explore more scientific topics with technology. The more they are interested, the more they will learn. I want to encourage them as much as possible with as many tools as possible to create the intrinsic desire for education!
My Project
My students learn best through hands-on experiences and interactions.
Unfortunately, field trips have become cost prohibitive due to budget cuts.
If we had the VR headsets by Oculus that are a contained virtual reality experience, we could enjoy virtual field trips and hands-on science and technology experiences within our classrooms!
The students are extremely interested in technology also, so I feel that they would be motivated to engage in the experiences.
The students in the self-contained autism classroom need to have these experiences to expand their knowledge base of science, history, and math.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
