We Are Unique but Not Different!

Help me give my students binders, sensory items, fidget toys, rewards, and additional resources to utilize when addressing their social emotional needs.

My Project

Oftentimes, my students struggle with coping skills when frustrated because of academic struggles. At times I work with my special needs students helping them understand it's ok and I'm their biggest cheerleader. The behavior transfers to discipline referrals. However, I have found that when they have additional resources to help with self stimuli they are able to calm down and go back into the inclusive setting. The items are usually snacks, digits, and hero action figures. They also know they have something to look forward to and are Special and Loved.

The sensory items, fidget toys will be used as rewards.

The binders will be used to make individual portfolios to showcase during open house and parent meetings.
