My Project
When school starts back in the fall, I would love to get to know my students through an artistic lens. I would like my students to create block print designs that represent themselves, their culture, their style, their families, and their individuality. Students will also write poetry or vignettes about the symbols they've found to represent themselves.
Once students have created their designs, we will use the block prints to create tattoos on paper arms.
We will share our writing and display our art. I think learning the skill of block printing and sharing this experience with classmates will be memorable and will help us to bond as a community.
