My Project
In the hustle and bustle of a typical day, sometimes it is the small things that make a big impact. Clear expectations, routines, and engaging activities are the center of our classroom culture, but what do you do when those things are just not working for a student? In these situations, I often have to rely on an extrinsic motivator to build the bridge necessary to develop intrinsic motivations.
Small incentives can often be a catalyst for larger academic and behavioral investment.
One of my classroom's favorite incentives is a good old fashioned sucker. You probably have fond memories growing up with the iconic Tootsie and Ring Pops, and believe it or not, these suckers are just as popular today. Thank you for your continued support of public education!
