PreK students are natural wonderers, questioners, and learners. My PreK students thrive with hands-on learning in our play-based classroom. My students love when our classroom transforms into a new and different learning themes such as a construction site, a tree farm and market, a laundromat, or a bee farm. One of our favorite high-engagement learning areas is our science/inquiry and sensory centers. As we begin a new study, the excitement grows! The right tools will help students dive deeper into their learning. These centers open doors for students to wonder, examine, and touch their environment in ways they have never done before. We are beginning a study on insects and magnifying glasses and binoculars will enhance our outdoor walks as we uncover insects' habitats, notice behaviors, and see how they change. Inside, these materials will be used for more inquiry and learning! Inside magnifying glasses will encourage us to think like scientists.
