We Are Ready to Listen, Learn and to be Engaged!

Help me give my students a comfortable place to gather in our classroom and quality headphones that will allow them to listen to stories and engage with online academic resources.

My Students

My sweet first-grade students are from very diverse backgrounds. We are in a Title I, ELL building. My students receive community support via backpack programs and youth mentors.

I have been teaching for 30 years and I always try to level the playing field for my students.

Donor's Choice can help me do that by providing things that PTOs and parent donations in affluent attendance areas cover.

My Project

Quality headphones will help my students hear directions clearly on essential online curriculum resources at home or at school. Many of my students do not come to school with any school supplies, much less good headphones. iPads are essential to distance learning and classrooms are using more and more online resources as we try to keep students safe and engaged in learning.

Part of staying healthy and in school is appropriate social distancing in the classroom.

A rug would give my students a place to sit, away from others, while they stretch out and engage in classroom learning.
