My Students
My students are from varied backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, ethnicities, and experiences. I have students from both ends of a wide spectrum of ability, strengths and weaknesses. I strive to offer a variety of activities to engage students of all levels, interests, and abilities. The materials we receive will help me to continue to motivate and invigorate my students' learning.
The students at my school are the best and never cease to surprise me with how hard they work.
I am always proud when I get to tell someone where I work because they know we are the best school with the best kids!
My Project
Students crave new reading material all year long. These books have been nominated for the 2021-2022 school year for the Texas 2x2 list. This list of books offers a variety of topics, reading levels, and interests to captivate any reader. Students will get to vote on their favorite book mid-year to help award the author of the winning book a real award! They are excellent books for storytime at the library or school, bedtime with a parent or grandparent or fun reading at any time.
When students see that their reading makes a difference, like in awarding this prestigious prize, they are motivated to read and invest in their learning.
