Help me give my students fun, motivating centers and activities to practice reading words.

My Project

My students are readers. I have been telling them this since the first day of school. At first, they did not believe me. That was until I showed them a package of OREOS. They read the word OREO. I showed them a picture of a STOP sign. Again, they read it. Over the next few weeks, I had them read more packages, pictures of signs and many other things. They were reading environmental print. And they were convinced! They were readers.

At this time in the school year, my students are becoming confident, brave readers who will try and read anything they can.

This project will enhance the learning experience by giving my readers fun, motivating centers to practice reading independently and with a partner. Students will be able to practice reading CVC words, blends, and digraphs. I am very excited to launch this project!
