My Students

Do you remember what it was like the first time you read a book that you couldn't put down? My students have not yet discovered books that capture their imaginations, but they have also not yet met all the wonderful children's authors out there!

We are excited kindergarten students who want to be better readers and writers.

We need more books for our book tubs!! Please help us get quality literature and informational texts to read during reader's workshop and to use as mentor texts during writer's workshop. We want to be able to notice what good writers do and become just like them.

My Project

Quality books in the hands of my students will help the all become readers and writers. Most of them do not access to books outside of school. So we need to provide them with the best quality books they can get so that they view themselves as readers and writers.

My students will be better prepared for the world outside our classroom by reading and writing about it in the classroom.

With more books we can accomplish this. WE LOVE BOOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
