Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have always wanted to inspire my students to see our world in a new way. Experience helps students gain a new perspective on life and it gives them new ideas to inspire them to create artwork. The problem with seeing the world is the cost. Traveling around the world with classes of students is not feasible, but taking them on a virtual tour is!
I want to give my students the opportunity to see the world's most beautiful museums and paintings up close as if they were truly there by using Virtual Reality and the Quest 3.
VR has come a long way. Now with the most modern technology, students can experience both Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality together in one headset. With a few wipes and a little cleaning solution, all my students can experience the Louve and see the Mona Lisa up close as if they were in Europe. They could walk into Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night through "Art Plunge" and many more paintings! The Quest 3 VR Headset will be used both in class as well as after school during Art Club. All students could see what the students are experiencing through the use of a TV or computer screen until it is their turn.
Without your support, my students will not have access to this wonderful and inspiring technology. This is the future of art and I want to make it happen for my kids!
