We Are Mint To Have a Library Garden

Help me give my students a self-illuminating, indoor garden to witness the year-round magic of the plant life cycle in the library.

My Project

The students of our Sea Island school are hands-on learners who blossom (plant pun intended) when they have a chance to experience science and nature up close. They love participating in activities that allow them to continually observe nature in action. We have a wonderful library space but we lack windows and cannot provide a natural light growing space. We are requesting an Indoor Hydroponic Growing System, 8 Lettuce & Salad Greens Seed Vault and Sow Right Seeds - Hydroponic Herb Seeds for Planting.

By incorporating a hydroponic garden into the school library, our students will have the continuous opportunity to see nature in action, regardless of the season.

The hydroponic grow system requested appears to be a perfect match for our library as it will provide a light source, a protective grow tent, and introduce students to hydroponic gardening. The herb and lettuce pods will allow us to apply further study to the parts of a plant through direct observation, recording, and dissection. Finally, the incorporation of additional gardening pods, seeds, and supplies will increase enthusiasm for our plants as they sprout and mature.
