This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students in my classroom are extremely incredible and ready to learn! They love to teach the class and voice their opinions on the lesson of the day. Each student in my class face the many challenges of being at a high risk campus plus the effects of hurricane Irma. With that being said, they have limited resources.
Yet, this battle did not stop my students from wanting to learn!
They still come into class enthused and anxious to learn new material. I love incorporating classroom games and technology and they love working with hands-on materials to get them where they need to be. I am so lucky to have such a great group of students willing to learn this school year!
My Project
The materials that I am requesting for my students will help boost them even more in the math world. With the use of Chromebooks, snacks, school supplies, and more math manipulatives; we can get even more engaged in the lessons. These resources will get my students the 21st century learning they deserve!
I can not wait to see the positive outcomes of the items I am requesting!
The manipulatives will allow me to see exactly what they are thinking as they move the items around on their desks. The Chromebook will get them engaged on Prodigy Thursdays along with practice for online testing. The other resources will help enhance their confidence even more and get them excited about math in the classroom.
