This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is located a few miles from the California-Mexico border with 100% of our students receiving free or reduced-price lunch. We are a class of first and second grade students who are anxious and happy to learn. With the curriculum becoming more rigorous, especially in reading and math, we want to be able to experience the learning firsthand and be focused. Our class is an active bunch of students who are highly engaged and ready to dive into learning.

My Project

This printer will make a difference in our classroom because we will have access to a color printer for the students to see their work truly come to life, especially their own writing masterpieces. Having a color printer in our classroom will help me as their teacher have quick access to print visuals for my English Language Learners, color code and label objects around our classroom to aid in object and word recognition, and allow the students to print their creations in attractive colors to show off their work as it is displayed around our classroom.
