My students are eager learners who are excited to work together each day as a classroom reading community. They love to share their learning and successes with each other and their teachers.
I teach a diverse mix of children- with many different strengths and abilities.
My classroom is a fused regular and special education classroom. Some students have learning disabilities, while others are speech and/or language impared, or English Language Learners. The students in my class come from a variety of home backgrounds; many families are low-income households, and for some, English is their second language.
Our class has a variety of learners, and we work in small groups DAILY to help each child become a better reader. By having phonics and language centers available to use in small groups, I can meet the educational needs of ALL students in my class.
The Phonics Instant Learning Centers and the Language Instant Learning Centers will create fun and exciting learning experiences that will build the foundation for life-long reading skills.
Students will be able to work with a teacher or independently to learn new reading skills and strategies that they will then be able to apply to future reading!
