This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My little learners are a very inquisitive group of students. These young scholars are discovering the world for the first time. Their curiosity and excitement is contagious and I love helping them learn. My students are eager to please and want lots of time to dance, explore, and play.
Our schools are not providing the basic supplies that our young learners need to make progress in their education.
My students are happy, energetic, and ready to learn. They are learning to become independent learners and having the right resources can help motivate and engage them.
My Project
This is an exciting time for my little ones to write their stories. We are writers, but we need crayons, pens, writing paper, chart paper, and hp ink. My students are excited to get started on their small moments and opinion pieces. Young children want to be writers.
As a teacher I want to keep that excitement, interest, and confidence alive while at the same time introducing my students to the way written language works.
My students need these tools so as we meet for writers workshop I can model and teach them strategies and skills to help them gain confidence in their writing. These young learners need to see me show them the how to process, and so we desperately need a projector and an auto-focus visual presenter. The power of the shared writing model will be a joyful experience. We would like to print our class stories and need ink too! Smart teaching and smart students ready to write every day.
